Operational Security Advisor
Counter Terrorism Policing – North East (CTP NE)

1 part time position working 14.48 hours (2 Days Thursday/Friday)
1 full time post subject to funding
We are looking for an experienced, motivated, and enthusiastic Operational Security Advisor to fill this exciting vacancy. The role plays a critical part within a unique team, providing vital support to the work of Counter Terrorism Policing.
As an Operational Security Advisor, you will be responsible for providing an independent source of specialist, covert law enforcement and risk management expertise. You will be responsible for the strategic direction, development and implementation of operational security across the 7 Force CTP NE Regional model. In addition, you will act as a central point of contact for matters pertaining to operational security and supporting the wider CT network.

• Do you have experience of formal risk management techniques?
• Do you have experience of managing information or intelligence gathering techniques?
• Do you have knowledge of the legislative environment relating to covert and intrusive operations by public bodies?
. Do you already hold or have the ability to successful achieve and maintain the College of Policing OPSY Advisor accreditation course?
• Have you knowledge of current practices and procedures in managing public body covert law enforcement techniques?
