Counter Terrorism Policing North West (CTPNW) is a five-force collaboration delivering Counter Terrorism (CT) services to our regional forces as well as forming part of the national CT Network. CTPNW’s mission is to work together to keep people safe from terrorism.
We are looking for a committed and outstanding individual who can support CTPNW in achieving its mission.
As a data analyst at the NBTC you will be part of an A&R team for the department, involved in a variety of workstreams for the unit. For example, rules based targeting for CT Border Policing which involves the research and analysis of travel data to identify patterns of interest to national security.
Also following the UK exit from the European Union, the way in which UK law enforcement collects, manages and audits use of passenger travel data (PNR) has changed. This role provides an opportunity for the successful candidate to shape UK law enforcement process and policy in relation to PNR.
The post holder will be responsible for gathering, analysing and presenting PNR data to a wide range of customers, such as UK Policing, The UK Home Office and the European Union itself.
