Counter-Terrorism Policing (CTP) is revolutionising the way it uses digital, data, analysis and technology (DDaT). The DDAT Pillar has responsibility for guiding the CT network’s exploitation of data and analytical capability and leading the integration of new technology to support our national security mission.

The pillar works closely with other principal areas of CTPHQ to ensure coherence with our technology development, transformation and compliance and assurance functions, helping to ensure that our use of data is always lawful, ethical and proportionate and uses the best available capability without ever compromising vital public trust.  

Within DDaT, CTPHQ Data Science is a new high profile, national function leading innovative and mission-driven data capabilities to counter terrorism and other national security threats. 

The team are looking for 2 x Senior Data Engineers to support their Data Engineers to excel. The roles represent an exciting opportunity for the successful candidate to lead and support a team of engineers and build relationships with internal and external stakeholders and improve both the efficiency and effectiveness of CT policing. 

As a Senior Data Engineer for CTPHQ, you will be leading a team of Data Engineers to deliver a complex data engineering working environment in support of enhancing data driven, national CT capability. The Senior Data Engineers will be the first line managers for development, training, wellbeing and allocation of tasks and quality assurance of the data engineering team. 

These positions have been approved to receive 20% Market Supplement.
