About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Crime Scene Investigation Supervisor to deliver a comprehensive crime scene management and investigation service across the East Midlands region. Working under the direction of EMSOU-FS, you will play a key role in supporting serious and major crime investigations while ensuring the highest professional and ethical standards are upheld.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Supervising and supporting Tier 1 and Tier 2 Crime Scene Investigators on a day-to-day basis
- Leading and directing activity at complex, serious, and major crime scenes
- Maximising forensic opportunities and contributing to investigation strategies
- Ensuring compliance with ISO 17020 and Forensic Science Regulator Codes of Practice
- Monitoring staff performance, training, and development to maintain high standards
- Contributing to regional initiatives, innovation, and continuous improvement
- Providing specialist CSI support across a range of operational areas, including major incidents and covert activity
- Attending court to present evidence and professional findings when required
- Participating in an on-call rota and working across a 7-day operational pattern
