We have an exciting opportunity to join the team as a Crime Scene Investigator (CSI) Tier 2 on a 12‑month fixed term basis.
In this role, you’ll deliver a comprehensive and effective forensic service to the East Midlands region, supporting the investigative and criminal justice process while ensuring compliance with codes of practice and identifying opportunities for innovation.
You’ll be
- Providing a CSI service that maximises forensic opportunities for complex, serious and major crime investigations
- Advising local investigators on forensic matters to ensure full evidence is gained.
- Participating in specialist CSI workstreams.
You must have
- Detailed knowledge, skills and experience in Crime Scene examination and forensic processes.
- Stage 1 COP Crime Scene Investigator qualified or equivalent.
- Skilled analysing data, forming conclusions and making decisions/recommendations in verbal and written reports.

Fixed Base Worker
Entirely office based and requires regular use of specific non-movable equipment or access to technology and software which is only available on site.
