Job Title: Crime Incident Management Unit Assessment Officer x 5

Work Location: Operational HQ, Winchester (hybrid working once fully trained)

Salary: Scale 4 (£27,204 - £29,859) progressing Scale to 5 (£30,333 - £32,613) on completion of training

Hours: 37 hours per week (plus 14% shift allowance and weekend working enhancement). Daily hours of between 8 & 9 hour shifts covering 365 days a year with one weekend in four worked. Shifts cover core hrs between 07.00 and 22.00.

Contract: Permanent

Closing Date: Sunday 26th July @23:55 hours

Interview Date: Week beginning 10th August 2026

Start Date: We are looking to having successful applicants in post by Mid November, full training including a four-week initial training course will be provided.

The successful candidate will become part of a busy energetic team and gain an insight into policing that many people will never be exposed to and will be playing a pivotal role providing direct support to police officers and staff identifying crimes and ensuring that they are accurately recorded and reviewed in compliance with Home Office guidance.

You will communicate directly with frontline Police Officers and Police Staff ensuring that the crimes they are dealing with are accurately recorded.  This will ensure that the Force has accurate data upon which they can assess crime patterns and plan demand so that victims, who are at the heart of what we do, receive the service they rightly deserve.

Essential Qualifications

Educated to QCF Level 2 OR work experience deemed to have brought the post holder to a comparable level

Essential Work Experience

To be computer literate and a competent keyboard user

To have used and maintained complex record keeping systems
