As a Coverage Test Driver, you will support the Business Coverage Lead to establish, verify and quality assure ESN radio coverage in the required areas of Scotland. In your role you will be making a meaningful contribution as part of the Emergency Services Mobile Communication Programme.
Please note that although the location for this role is flexible, the base location will be Stirling Randolphfield. The work will primarily take place across the East of Scotland, with most of your time spent either on the road or working from home.
Please Note - This role will be Monday-Friday 0900-1700. A driving licence is required for this role.
Key Responsibilities -
- Drive to roads and locations across Scotland to undertake real time assessment of 4G radio coverage.
- Conduct walk testing and in building testing to assess 4G radio coverage.
- Assess the impact of theoretical radio predictions in a given area.
- Interpret data to determine the effectiveness of 4G coverage.
- Ensure the completion of all necessary computer and paper-based records in respect of analysis information and other administrative systems.
- Operate technical equipment, handheld radios and coverage assessment devices.
- Develop analysis reports confirming the coverage to the Business Coverage Lead.
- Engage with other Emergency Services on shared radio coverage.
