About the team/Department you will be joining:

Located at: Central Stores Office, BRIDGEND

South Wales Police have an exciting opportunity that has arisen for a part time Courier on a permanent basis. The Courier will add to our already strong Central Stores team within Estates. The successful candidate will ensure that critical items, such as operational supplies, uniforms, and equipment, are delivered promptly to officers and departments, across the whole of South Wales Police enabling them to perform their duties without delay or disruption.

About the role and your key responsibilities:

Ensure the secure, efficient, and timely transportation of mail, stationery, operational supplies, and uniform across South Wales Police, while actively supporting the delivery of a professional courier, uniform, and equipment management service. Part Time, 18.5 hours per week Monday to Friday.

What skills and experience do we need you to bring to the role:

The successful candidate:

  • Must be computer literate and proficient in Microsoft applications
  • Must possess a valid category B driving licence
  • Must have the ability to operate a small fork-lift truck and other mechanical stock handling equipment (after training where necessary)
  • Must be able to work efficiently to a high standard
  • Must have excellent communication skills, a positive attitude and able to work as part of a team

Please note the successful candidate must be willing to undergo vetting to the required level RV
