Continuous Professional Development Officer

The base location for this role is flexible within the C3 division – Inverness, Aberdeen, Dundee, Bilston Glen, and Govan with a hybrid working model. 

Applications are invited from Police Staff who have extensive experience within a learning and development environment, particularly the design and delivery and governance of training interventions.

Successful candidates will support the C3 Division Learning & Development Manager by leading on Continuous Professional Development initiatives through the identification of professional development / training needs and the design of relevant, engaging and appropriate training interventions.

Critical to this will be liaison with Divisional L&D colleagues (for inclusion of materials in induction programmes) as well as wider Force and partnership collaboration.

Quality assurance of training through assessment, evaluation and validation is vital to assist in the management, development, co-ordination and provision of future training for the Division.

Successful candidates will have a proven training background alongside strong people skills and the ability to speak in public. The post holder must be able to demonstrate effective planning and organisational skills with the ability to work with the minimum of supervision.

This seconded post is full time, Monday to Friday although there will be a requirement to represent the Division on alternative shifts when required.

Although the post advertised will be based within a specific C3 location, candidates should be prepared to support colleagues elsewhere around the country as and when required.

A Driving Licence is essential for this role.
