Communications and Engagement Manager - OPCC - (part time/ FTC)

The Police and Crime Commissioner (PCC) for Bedfordshire has an exciting opportunity to join the team as our Communications and Engagement Manager on a part time basis (3/4 days per week).

You’ll be responsible for developing and implementing communication and engagement strategies including long and short-term campaigns, ensuring they are updated dynamically to meet changing needs, priorities and situations.

As the Communications and Engagement Manager, you will ensure that effective and creative outcome-focused communications connect with our communities, building trust and confidence, enabling the PCC to engage with the public.

You’ll be responsible for developing the PCC’s strategic approach to all communications and engagement, providing communications advice on a wide range of issues to the PCC, Deputy PCC and Senior Leadership Team.

This is an exciting role, where you’ll be part of the team supporting policing, criminal justice, victim care and community safety issues, using your skills and knowledge to make a difference to the communities we support.

This role is based at Bedfordshire Police HQ in Kempston, with the option for hybrid working. You will be part of a team that delivers on a diverse range of proactive and reactive communications and engagement activity.
