Chief Finance Officer for the Police and Crime Commissioner

The Police and Crime Commissioner is seeking an exceptional Chief Finance Officer to take up an exciting role as part of his team in North Wales. You will be joining a high performing team and play a role in improving the lives of local residents through delivery of the Police and Crime Plan.

The key purpose of the role is to ensure that the organisation’s financial affairs, governance and risk are properly administrated and that sound management arrangements are in place.

The Chief Finance Officer also acts as strategic financial advisor to the Police and Crime Commissioner and supports the Chief Executive in delivery of the Commissioner’s vision, strategy and identified priorities, advising on the financial implications of policy options and allocation of resources. The post fulfils the requirements of the Police Reform and Social Responsibility Act 2011 and is therefore a statutory and politically restrictive role.
