Change Project Manager - Grade L

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Change Project Manager to play a pivotal role within the Change and Transformation function at Force Headquarters. You will lead and deliver a wide-ranging portfolio of business change projects, driving meaningful transformation and helping shape the future of the organisation.

GMP’s Change & Transformation Branch leads the organisation’s portfolio of business change, delivering transformational improvements to how we operate and how we fulfil our citizen contract. Our work spans a range of strategic programmes that drive meaningful change across GMP, encompassing organisational structures, business processes and enabling technology.

As a Change Project Manager, you will be part of the Delivery Team, playing a key role in turning strategic ambition into tangible outcomes. You will typically manage multiple projects at any one time, working under the direction of a Programme Manager and within robust project governance arrangements.

The role is based at Force Headquarters but allows for some hybrid working. Hours are flexible within Force policy constraints.

We are seeking an experienced project manager who can confidently plan, manage and deliver a varied portfolio of projects. You will be comfortable working with a wide range of stakeholders, balancing competing priorities and ensuring that projects are delivered efficiently, effectively and to a high standard.

  • Submission of a CV, which should indicate relevant project management qualifications that you hold e.g. Prince2 Practitioner,  APM Project Management Qualification (PMQ), PMI Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM), AgilePM Practitioner.
  • Submission of answers to seven questions, which cover key attributes of the role. 

Your answers should detail significant experience that you have in the following areas:

  • Leads business change, transformation projects, and projects governed at Senior Leadership level with strong interpersonal skills and a proven ability to develop, maintain and enhance relationships with a variety of internal and external contacts.
  • Designs and commissions innovative solutions to change requirements and promotes transformational change and innovation to achieve cost reduction and service improvements. 
  • Manages strategic business change projects across a spectrum of areas including, technical, people, process, behaviour and culture.
  • Delivers a high-quality project management service on behalf of a large corporate organisation to ensure the realisation of organisational benefits and well-developed business cases, including the identification, evaluation and mitigation of risks and issues.
  • Manages multiple change projects through all stages from inception to completion and ensures that each assigned project delivers the required products within specified constraints of cost and time. 
  • Promotes the case for change and collaborates with business change owners, other stakeholders and business analysts to develop robust and effective project management approaches.
  • Plans and delivers change through the management of project resource and the use of financial controls and budgetary management to deliver value for money.
