About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Catering Assistant to support the delivery of high-quality catering services. This is a varied and hands-on role where you will help prepare, cook, and serve food, maintain excellent hygiene standards, and provide a professional and friendly service to customers. You will play an important part in the smooth day-to-day operation of catering services, including hospitality and event support.

What You’ll Be Doing

Preparing and cooking a range of hot and cold food items, including breakfasts, lunches, snacks, and sandwiches.
Setting up and maintaining kitchen, service, and dining areas to the highest standards of cleanliness and organisation.
Serving customers efficiently during busy service periods while delivering excellent customer service.
Preparing and presenting food and refreshments for meetings, hospitality events, and catered functions.
Operating tills and supporting cash handling procedures.
Monitoring food safety requirements, including temperature checks and record keeping.
Cleaning and maintaining catering equipment and work areas in line with hygiene and health and safety standards.
Providing catering support for planned activities and emergency situations, including occasional work outside normal hours when required.
