Child Protection Case Conferencing Officer
Make a Difference in Child Safeguarding
We have an exciting opportunity for a dedicated and professional individual to join our safeguarding team as a child Protection Case Conferencing Officer.
Working alongside a highly committed group of safeguarding professionals, you will play a pivotal role in protecting vulnerable children and supporting multi-agency decision-making. This is a rewarding position for someone who is passionate about safeguarding and making a positive impact on the lives of children and families.
About the Role
As a child Protection Case Conferencing Officer, you will be the police service representative at Initial Child Protection Conferences (ICPCs) and Review Child Protection Conferences (RCPCs). You will be responsible for ensuring that police information, risk assessments, and safeguarding recommendations are accurately prepared, presented, and communicated within multi-agency child protection forums.
Working closely with partner agencies, you will contribute to informed decision making and help ensure that children receive the protection and support they need.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and present police information for Initial and Review Child Protection Conferences.
- Assess and communicate risks relating to children and families.
- Provide professional safeguarding advice and recommendations to multi-agency partners.
- Ensure accurate and timely sharing of information to support child protection planning.
- Maintain high standards of record keeping and information management.
- Work collaboratively with internal departments and external safeguarding partners to achieve positive outcomes for children.
- Supervise a team of researchers and quality assure products ready for conference.
