Applications are invited for a Business Support Assistant to join Joint Protective Services (JPS) in delivering essential strategic and administrative support to Crime and Specialist Operations. The post holder will work as part of a team within the JPS Business Co-ordination Unit.
This is a full-time, permanent post for an individual looking to develop their career, enhance their business support skills and work within a fast paced and evolving area of business. However, we have the flexibility to accommodate those looking for a more flexible or part-time way of working. The successful candidate may occasionally be required to travel across the tri-force but the permanent base location will be Cambridgeshire Police Headquarters which is where the majority of the department and command team are based.
The post holder will be required to undertake a range of responsibilities, including (but not limited to);
- Maintain accurate and systematic records to ensure information is easily accessible.
- Undertake a range of administrative processes to support the operational teams.
- Research and compile management information as required.
- Effectively manage all telephone, written and electronic communications.
- Provide confidential administrative support to the JPS Command Team.
As such the successful candidate will have the desired qualities;
- Experience in the use of IT and a good working knowledge of word processing, spreadsheets and databases.
- Experience of operating a range of office equipment
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to demonstrate a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to prioritise effectively
