About the team/Department you will be joining:
An exciting opportunity has arisen to be at the heart of business planning and continuous improvement within the GoSafe department.
The successful candidate will provide leadership and direction for the department, seeking ways to continually review and improve service delivery and performance.
The postholder will work with the Head of GoSafe to appropriately escalate issues and risks through the programme governance to Chief Officers at appropriate junctures for decisions and accountability. The postholder will deliver a programme of work to align operations and teams across Wales, map and monitor process improvements and create a delivery plan for the department.
About the role and your key responsibilities:
The responsibilities will include but are not restricted to, the following functions:
- Business planning and governance
- Establishing demand and capability
- GoSafe Change programme
- Continuous and strategic Improvement
- Lean process mapping/waste removal
You must be educated to degree level or equivalent level of experience and have a Project or Programme Management qualification. You much have a proven track record of leading, developing and implementing change strategies and plans to improve the development of staff and quality of service. We are looking for candidates to be able to demonstrate a track record of delivery and innovation at a senior level and produce clear, concise reports and policies.
The position is based at Treforest but with an element of remote working with possible travel to Gwent, Dyfed Powys and North Wales Police Force areas. The successful Candidates must be willing to undergo vetting to MV/SC Vetting.
