Salary: Band 10 -  £50,154 - £54,696 (Please note it is Northumbria Police policy to appoint at the beginning of the band)   

Location: Agile, Forth Banks Police Station and homeworking

Hours/Contract:  37 hours per week, permanent

This could be the perfect opportunity to join our Corporate Hub as a Business Change Project Manager.

As a Business Change Project Manager, you will lead improvement projects that support the development of new business models, operating processes and workforce design. You'll work closely with senior leaders and key stakeholders to identify opportunities for improvement, develop solutions, and deliver sustainable business change that improves force effectiveness and efficiency. You'll take ownership of projects from business case development through to implementation and benefits realisation, ensuring successful delivery against time, cost and quality objectives.

 

What you'll do

 

  • Lead improvement projects across the full project lifecycle, from business case development and initiation through to implementation and benefits realisation.
  • Undertake business activity analysis, process reviews and improvement workshops to identify opportunities to enhance services, processes and the use of technology.
  • Analyse complex data and develop recommendations that support strategic and operational improvements across the organisation.
  • Build strong relationships with senior leaders, stakeholders and subject matter experts to understand business requirements and shape effective solutions.
  • Develop implementation and engagement plans that support workforce readiness, encourage adoption and deliver sustainable change.
  • Manage project risks, dependencies, budgets, resources and benefits, ensuring projects remain on track and deliver expected outcomes.
  • Lead stakeholder communications, helping colleagues understand, prepare for and embrace change.
  • Line manage and support Assistant Project Managers while promoting continuous improvement and best practice across the organisation.

What you'll bring

 

  • Prince2 or equivalent project management qualification.
  • A minimum of three years' project management experience within a complex organisational environment.
  • Significant experience of planning, delivering, monitoring and evaluating projects to achieve successful outcomes.
  • Experience of leading business improvement initiatives and redesigning processes or systems to improve performance and service delivery.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, interpret and present complex data to support decision making.
  • Experience of managing project interdependencies, resources and competing priorities.
  • Experience of leading and influencing stakeholders at all levels, including developing collaborative relationships to drive organisational change.
  • Experience of managing project budgets and balancing project delivery against wider organisational objectives.
  • Experience of working with recognised change management approaches, methodologies and techniques.

Terms of appointment

This is a permanent role subject to a six-month probationary period.
