Job Title: Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) Auditor - 03
Salary: The starting salary is £40,519, which includes allowances totalling £3,009.
The salary is broken down as £37,510 basic salary, which will increase annually until you reach the top of the scale £40,141. Plus, a location allowance of £2,009 and a non-pensionable allowance of £1,000.

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Digital function within Met Intelligence of the Metropolitan Police.
The ANPR Auditor is responsible for carrying out audits and compliance checks on Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) activity to ensure use is lawful and meets Data Protection Act 2018 and Home Office National ANPR Standards. The role holder will be responsible for preparing clear and concise reports and correspondence to document audit findings and recommendations. Ensuring that any non-compliance is identified and reported.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Conduct daily audits of ANPR user activity to check that access and use of data are compliant with legislation and policy.
- Identify and record any non-compliance and report issues to the line manager to ensure misuse is addressed.
- Maintain accurate audit records and supporting documentation to provide a clear audit trail.
- Analyse audit results and highlight trends to support process improvement and training needs.
- Prepare clear and concise reports and correspondence to document audit findings and recommendations.
- Engage with colleagues in Digital ANPR and local policing units to explain audit requirements and promote compliance.
- Provide administrative support for ANPR Governance and Compliance activities and assist with continuous improvement projects.
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Experience of undertaking audits, compliance reviews or quality-assurance checks within a data-sensitive environment.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 including Excel, SharePoint and Power Automate.
- Experience of producing analytical reports using Microsoft Excel and other data tools.
- Able to interpret data sets and identify anomalies or irregularities.
- Understanding of data-protection requirements and Home Office ANPR Standards for Policing and Law Enforcement.
- Some understanding of ANPR operational use and ANPR data.
- Understanding of MPS operational systems, including Connect, CAD and IPP. (Desirable)
Additional Requirements:
- Achieve or maintain Intelligence Professionalisation Programme Certification throughout MO2 tenure.
