Athena Administrator

The Athena Development Team works closely with NEC, the Home Office Identity Access Management facility and other Athena Consortium force teams. The team is responsible for maintaining service as usual, ensuring regulatory compliance, plus the development and implementation of change. Applications are invited for the above post in the Athena Development Team department at Martlesham PHQ.

The successful applicant will receive training to perform the role alongside an existing postholder and progress to perform independently to service user access and permissions.

It is essential that applicants meet the following criteria:

Good keyboard skills and an aptitude to learn new computerised systems

Administrative and organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and complete tasks within given deadlines

Ability to consistently achieve accuracy and quality standards showing attention to detail

Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively at all levels within the constabulary

Ability to find appropriate solutions to problems using own initiative and as part of a team

It is desirable that applicants meet the following criteria:

A knowledge of Athena Hours of work are 14.8 hours per week Monday and Tuesday, to be worked within standard office hours (e.g. 08:00-16:00/09:00-17:00). This post is offered on a permanent basis. Following a Modern Workplace Assessment the post has been identified as suitable for hybrid working, with a requirement to attend Martlesham PHQ every Tuesday to use the Confidential Network, plus further occasions at the requirement of Athena Management.
