Assistant Intelligence Analyst

Role Purpose

This is an outstanding career opportunity to make a real impact within North Wales Police, where you’ll provide a research capability within intelligence units in support of Intelligence Analysts and Field Intelligence Officers. You’ll be working alongside a substantial team of experts and will receive fully structured training and continued support to ensure you thrive within the role.

You will be required to demonstrate in your application the minimum requirement for the role:

Essential

  1. A levels / HNC or equivalent qualification in relevant subjects, or a proven level of relevant experience.
  2. The use of IT to an intermediate level that includes a working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Access and Excel
  3. Experience of assimilating large quantities of data and providing briefings, management information and statistics.
  4. Good written and oral communication skills.
  5. Proven ability to work as an effective member of a team.
  6. Ability to prioritise work and meet deadlines in high-pressure environments.

Desirable

  1. Motivation to pursue a career in intelligence analysis
  2. Knowledge and experience or geographical information systems and i2 analysis software.
  3. Knowledge of law enforcement tactics and procedures.
  4. Research skills gained within a law enforcement or other relevant environment.
