The Chief Constable is looking to appoint Assistant Chief Constable(s) to join the Executive Leadership Team and expand the current portfolios. This is a pivotal role at a pivotal time. You will help shape the future of GMP by leading with integrity, vision, and a clear sense of public duty.

The successful candidates will hold the highest levels of operational credibility and will:

  • Shortlisting of applications will take place on the 2nd April 2026.

 

  • Between notification of successful candidates, provision at GMP will be made for familiarisation visits and also attendance to engage at stakeholder panel sessions.

 

  • Presentation topic will be provided to candidates on the day.

 

  • Interviews/presentations will be held at Force Headquarters week commencing 20th April 2026.
