Role Profile 

 The Opportunity

  • We’re looking for an Anti-Corruption Intelligence Development Officer to join our team in Knaresborough.  
  • This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a strong background in investigations, intelligence development, research, and a logical, evidence-based mindset.
  • Working within the Anti-Corruption Unit, you will be conducting the development work to support overt investigations into professional standards and anti-corruption matters involving North Yorkshire Police employees.
  • The role involves gathering and assessing evidence, gathering accounts, preparing casefiles, reviewing and interpreting intelligence and technical data, making recommendations, and providing expert advice to internal and external partners. You will play a key role in developing intelligence, identifying organisational learning, and supporting criminal and misconduct proceedings while ensuring all investigations are conducted lawfully, proportionately, and in line with national policing standards and priorities

 What We’re Looking For

  • Experience of gathering, analysing and assessing complex information to support investigations and problem-solving.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to adapt your approach for different audiences.
  • Confident using IT systems, databases and intelligence-related software.
  • Ability to break down complex issues, identify key lines of enquiry and take appropriate action.
  • Strong team-working skills, with a collaborative and supportive approach.
  • Committed to continuous professional development and maintaining high standards of performance.
  • Organised and self-motivated, with the ability to prioritise workloads, plan ahead and manage risk.
  • Skilled at building effective working relationships with colleagues, partners and stakeholders.
  • Able to produce clear, concise reports and professional documentation.
  • Willingness to undertake relevant College of Policing intelligence training and accreditation, including IPP (Intelligence Professionalisation Programme)
  •  An interest in developing knowledge of intelligence, information management, data protection and related legislation.
