We are looking for someone to #JoinUs as a Neighbourhood Policing Support Officer in our Rhondda Neighbourhood Policing team. Could you be who we are looking for? 

About the team/Department you will be joining: 

-    The Neighbourhood Policing teams engage with all communities throughout the Rhondda, focusing on the problems which matter most to them.
-    Neighbourhood Policing is at the core of all Policing activity, providing both a policing response and engagement
-    The position will be based out of Porth Police Station, Porth, Rhondda CF39 9RT, however some flexibility will be expected at other stations within the Rhondda valleys.

About the role and your key responsibilities: 

-    Your role will be to support neighbourhood policing activity through the co-ordination and engagement with colleagues and external partners.
-    You will assist with the social engagement with the public through various means both in person and through social media facilities
-    Although the team work 7 days a week, your role will be Monday-Friday with an element of flexibility afforded to the working hours.
-    This is an office based administrative role

What skills and experience do we need you to bring to the role: 

-    We are looking for someone who is passionate about providing support to their community through policing initiatives.
-    Whilst not essential, a basic understanding of policing computer systems would be beneficial.
-    The successful candidate must demonstrate good communication skills at all times, both with internal colleagues and the wider public

The successful Candidate must be willing to undergo vetting to RV Vetting.
