6460 Auto Technician

We are seeking a skilled Auto Technician to join our Police Workshop team, responsible for inspecting, servicing, and repairing a diverse fleet of Police vehicles to ensure they remain safe, reliable, and operational.

The successful candidate will diagnose mechanical, electrical, and electronic faults using modern diagnostic equipment and perform preventative maintenance in accordance with manufacturer and organisational standards. You will maintain accurate service records, comply with health and safety procedures, and ensure all work meets legal and fleet maintenance requirements.

The role requires the ability to work efficiently under pressure, prioritise urgent repairs, and support the operational readiness of emergency response vehicles. Ideal candidates will have relevant automotive qualifications, strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a professional team.

The successful candidate for this role will be vetted at level Staff RV. This means the individual will need at least 3 years worth of residency in the UK.
