Vulnerability Coordinator (Police Safeguarding Hub)

About the Role

We are seeking a data‑driven professional to play a key role in identifying and safeguarding the most vulnerable people in our communities. Working at the heart of Lincolnshire Police’s Protecting Vulnerable Persons function, you will use police and partner‑agency information to understand risk, spot emerging threats, and support effective multi‑agency action. This role is integral to upholding our values, our Code of Ethics, and our commitment to delivering the highest standards of service to the public.

What You’ll Be Doing

You will analyse and interpret data to identify:

  • Vulnerable children, adults, and repeat victims at risk of exploitation or harm.
  • Serial perpetrators and individuals who pose the greatest threat.
  • Trends, themes, and locations linked to exploitation, domestic abuse, honour‑based abuse, stalking, and harassment.

You will work closely with internal teams and external partners to:

  • Develop and support plans that reduce risk and vulnerability.
  • Strengthen information‑sharing processes across agencies.
  • Represent Lincolnshire Police at operational and tactical meetings, including TTCG.
  • Provide regular reporting on individuals, volumes, themes, and trends.
  • Build strong, collaborative working relationships to enhance safeguarding outcomes.
Why This Role Matters

Your work will directly support the protection of vulnerable people across Lincolnshire. Through accurate analysis and effective partnership working, you will help ensure that risk is identified early, resources are directed where they are needed most, and safeguarding plans are informed, coordinated, and impactful. This role is vital in shaping how we prevent harm, support victims, and tackle those who pose significant risk within our communities.

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for someone who can:

  • Take a data‑led approach to understanding vulnerability, threat, and harm.
  • Analyse complex information and translate insights into practical safeguarding action.
  • Build strong, positive relationships with internal departments and partner agencies.
  • Communicate clearly, share information appropriately, and represent the organisation confidently in meetings.
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of safeguarding principles, relevant legislation, and the values and Code of Ethics of policing.
  • Work flexibly to support the broader Protecting Vulnerable Persons teams when required.
