Workshop Assistant — Vehicle Fleet Services
We’re recruiting a Workshop Assistant to help support a modern, high‑performing Vehicle Fleet Services function that keeps our front line moving. Reporting to the Senior Vehicle Technician, you will provide the workshop with non-technical and administrative support.

Specific day to day tasks are allocated by the Workshop Management team as appropriate across four main areas including Workshop Maintenance, Administration, Logistics and Customer Service.

This role main duties will include workshop waste management, relocating vehicles on site, minor vehicle defects, facility and vehicle general maintenance & cleaning.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Hold a GCSE Grade C or above, or equivalent in English and Maths.
  • NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in Vehicle Maintenance Repair Principles and Fleet Management Administration or with equivalent relevant experience.
  • Some knowledge and awareness of Fleet Management Systems
  • Some experience driving for a commercial organisation
  • Good general knowledge of workshop and vehicle health and safety risks
  • Physically fit and conversant with safe manual handling skills.
  • Knowledge of working with hand and power tools.
  • Comfortable working in confined spaces such as vehicle foot wells and work that requires bending, stretching and kneeling and crouching.
  • Knowledge and skills related to carrying out minor repairs on vehicles
  • Knowledge & skills in driving vehicles professionally
