Investigation Support Officer - Economic Crime Unit - Grade F - Part Time - 454

The Serious Crime Division is seeking applications for the role of Investigation Support Officer. Please note this position is within the Confiscation & Restraint Unit.

In this role you will have responsibility for supporting  financial investigations into the identification and recovery of assets held by individuals who were previously made subject of Confiscation Orders. You will take responsibility for obtaining financial intelligence, obtaining statements from witnesses, ensuring that the statements are accurate in detail. You will also be a conduit between GMP and the North West Regional Organised Crime Units who pursue the cases on GMP’s behalf.

The successful candidate will have carried out duties involving comprehensive statement taking, experience of interviewing; research and analytical tasks, including working with sensitive intelligence, together with experience of producing memos, letters and reports relevant to the post. With the ability to communicate effectively at different levels, you will have excellent inter-personal skills and advise across all levels of the force and with other bodies/agencies. As well as being competent in using computer systems including Microsoft packages and the internet, you should have a knowledge of Criminal law and procedures, particularly POCA, PACE, CPIA and Police procedures.
