Police Staff- Prison Intelligence Officer

An excellent opportunity has arisen to play a key role in a unique team, supporting the work of YHROCU Prison Intelligence Unit, working collaboratively with His Majesty’s Prison and Probation Service (HMPPS), to tackle serious and organised crime.
We are looking for an individual with enthusiasm, commitment and a proactive mindset who will have an ability to engage positively with partners, ensure compliance with relevant legislation / guidelines and an ability to proactively develop intelligence, considering a range of tactical options to disrupt offenders within the prison estate and wider community.
The YHROCU prison intelligence unit covers all the prison establishments across the four forces of West Yorkshire, North Yorkshire, Humberside and South Yorkshire, including, CAT A, Remands, Female, Young Offenders, CAT C and CAT D/Open prisons.
As the Prison Intelligence Officer, you will also support the work of the wider RPIU team, MARSOC and corruption investigations.
We have one vacancy, which is a job share of 16 hours per week, to work across the West Yorkshire Prison establishments, HMP Wakefield, Full Sutton, Milsike, Wetherby, Wealstun , Leeds, and Newhall, although the successful candidate must be prepared to work flexible hours to meet operational requirements and be willing to travel across the region if required.
You should hold a full UK/European driving license.
The role is Monday – Friday Flexi, with the opportunity for some agile working. There is an operational requirement for officers to work within the prison establishments in areas where they will have face to face contact with serving prisoners and staff.
