Forensic Scientist

We are looking for someone to join us as a Drugs Forensic Scientist in our Joint Scientific Investigation Unit (JSIU).

About the team/Department you will be joining:

  • A small specialised, dedicated team based in Bridgend South Wales Police HQ, within the JSIU.
  • Work is Monday to Friday 8-4, with a degree of flexibility required for additional hours. 

About the role and your key responsibilities:

  • Support the analysis of drugs submission for identification, weight and purity of commodities seized from offences within our collaborative force areas. 
  • This role will provide forensic reports based on testing to assist the courts.

What skills and experience do we need you to bring to the role:

  • We are looking for someone who preferably has a chemistry qualification with forensic Science skills and experience.
  • We are keen to hear from you if you have transferable working forensic skills and understanding.
