We are looking for someone who can quickly develop strong partnership relationships, to work closely with the Commissioner and his senior officer team to deliver the outcomes in the Commissioner’s Police and Crime Plan.
The post will assist with development and delivery of key policies/ strategies, manage funding opportunities, and work with local partners to deliver the Commissioner’s priorities.
The role will have a particular focus on providing support for the facilitation of a Lived Experience group, run through the OPCC on behalf of Lancashire County Council, Blackburn with Darwen Council and Blackpool Council.
We want an experienced, enthusiastic operator with significant knowledge around victims, violence against women and girls and the criminal justice system, and to use their skills and understanding of the local partnership environment to deliver the Police and Crime Plan.
You will be supported to use your professional curiosity to seek opportunities for enhancement and continuous improvement of the team’s output.
PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
To support the Senior Management team through the Policy & Partnerships Senior Manager (VAWG and Victims) in developing and implementing policy and delivering the outcomes identified in the Police and Crime Plan.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
- To support the facilitation of a Lived Experience group, run through the OPCC on behalf of Lancashire County Council, Blackburn with Darwen Council and Blackpool Council.
- To ensure timely contact with members of the Lived Experience group, liaison with professionals connected and the preparation and administration of relevant papers and documents.
- To lead on and contribute to other work strands as deemed appropriate by the Victims and VAWG policy team.
- To undertake research and analysis of a broad range of quantitative and qualitative information, including legislation and policy in accordance with the responsibilities of the Police and Crime Commissioner.
- To analyse and present performance information from internal and external sources in a clear and concise format for senior management and where appropriate make recommendations to assist decision making.
The post holder will be also required to carry out other duties and requirements, at the same or lower responsibility level associated with the post, as may be determined from time to time to be within the general scope of the post and in response to the requirements of the Police and Crime Commissioner.
Occasional evening and weekend work may be required.
