About the Role:

 

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Emergency Planner to provide strategic leadership and specialist expertise in emergency planning, resilience and major incident preparedness. The role will support senior commanders in ensuring robust planning, response, and recovery arrangements are in place before, during and after critical incidents.

 

You will lead and coordinate the organisation’s approach to emergency planning and resilience, providing professional advice, guidance and assurance to senior leadership and operational teams. The role will be responsible for driving organisational preparedness through the development and delivery of training, exercises and continuous improvement activities, ensuring that plans, processes and capabilities remain robust, complaint and operationally effective.

 

This is a pivotal role in ensuring the organisation is fully prepared to respond effectively to emergencies, safeguard the public and maintain operational resilience during times of disruption.

 

About you and your experience:

 

  • Experience of working in Emergency Planning, writing, planning, testing and evaluating plans
  • Membership with a professional business continuity body
  • Experience of supporting and running debriefing / review processes, analysis and recommendations
  • Experience of running training sessions, this should include internal and external sessions
