Job Title: Team Leader Capability & Development - Local Support Services - Counter Terrorism Policing HQ

Salary: The starting salary is £40,519, which includes allowances totalling £3,009 allowance.

The salary is broken down as £37,510 basic salary, which will increase annually until you reach the top of the scale £40,141 Plus, a location allowance of £2,009 and a non-pensionable allowance of £1,000.

Job Summary

To work within a small team which provides training support services to Counter Terrorism Policing and Specialist Operations, ensuring the effective administration of training activities both inside and outside the MPS Met-Training provision through the line management of Band Es within the unit.  Based at CTOC in West Brompton there may be occasions when travel across the wider MPS estate may be required.             

Key Tasks

The post holder will be required to do the following:

  • Procure & monitor mandatory H&S training for Police Officers & Police Staff
  • Provide advice to officers staff on training procurement processes
  • Book & Manage externally procured Training
  • Liaise with external training providers
  • Facilitate training within new CTOC Training Academy
  • Prepare & maintain Training Compliance Reports
  • Prepare & Facilitate CTPHQ Welcome days, including presenting
  • Line Management of Band E’s
  • Arrange attend training meetings & training boards
  • Liaise with Training SPOCs across the wider MPS
  • Give advice on training related Health & Safety matters

Vetting

This post requires access to the most sensitive intelligence material on a daily basis. Applicants must hold or be prepared to undergo National Security Vetting (NSV) Security Check (enhanced) (SC(e)) level before taking up the post; with a willingness to undergo Developed Vetting (DV) once in post, if required.
