This role is open to all Police Staff / external candidates who meet the essential criteria of the person spec, regardless of current grade.

About the team
Report Fraud
Report Fraud is the new national fraud and cybercrime reporting service for victims within the United Kingdom. The Report Fraud system is designed to receive and assess all reports of fraud and cybercrime as one central repository to facilitate the development of a better understanding of the UK’s threat of fraud and cybercrime. The system retains all crime and intelligence reports and has analytical capability to identify emerging threats and trends.
The Report Fraud Analysis Services – Intelligence team are responsible for the monitoring of fraud and cyber crime trends and threats reported by victims to Report Fraud. The team communicate these threats to key partners and the public through the authorship of various routine and bespoke intelligence products.

About the role
The Senior Analysts lead on key threat areas for fraud and cyber crimes reported to Report Fraud and manage a team of analysts and researchers that monitor patterns, identify emerging trends, develop intelligence and produce key analytical assessments. The Senior Analysts ensure delivery against the vision, objectives and organisational plans that meet national intelligence and analytical standards. This involves working with key stakeholders, law enforcement agencies and City of London police internal teams and reporting into the Head of Intelligence Services.
Responsibilities
In this role, you will be:
- Supervise the collection, collation, evaluation, analysis and dissemination of information/intelligence reported into Report Fraud and a variety of internal and external sources.
- Coordinate the production of high-quality analytical products at a strategic and tactical level including the Monthly Threat Update, the national Annual Assessment for Fraud and Cyber crime and strategic assessments for thematic areas and crime types.
- Work with law enforcement agencies (LEAs) and industry partners in the UK and internationally.
- Professional development of all staff under their supervision
Requirements
Your application will be scored against the criteria listed below for shortlisting. Please ensure that you reference your ability, knowledge and experience against these points in your application.
- Supervisory or equivalent leadership experience, including providing guidance and support to team members.
- Previous experience working as an Intelligence Analyst within a law enforcement or similar, with an understanding of the National Intelligence Model and key requirements.
- Proven experience leading projects end‑to‑end and delegating tasks effectively to ensure clear ownership, balanced workloads, and successful delivery.
- Good decision-making skills and the ability to communicate decisions to stakeholder groups and effectively manage their expectations.
- Proven ability to present information in a clear and concise fashion in both an oral and written format.
This vacancy is open only to those who have the right to work in the UK. Also, due to this role requiring MV/SC level vetting, you need to have continuously resided in the UK for the last 5 years. This residency needs to be in the immediate 5 years prior to this application. The application and interview will be tested under Level 2 of the College of Policing Competency and Values Framework.
Applicants who fail to address the skills/knowledge/experience of the job description will not be considered.
