As head of the intelligence research and analytical profession, the post holder will be responsible for the creation, development, and delivery of intelligence analysis within the IPP accreditation framework to drive activity across volume and Serious and Organised Crime investigation. The post holder will support both force strategic and operational priorities by leading their team to design, embed and maintain force analytical functions.

The Principal Analyst should also build and maintain strong working relationships with intelligence colleagues and other stakeholders at force, regional and national level.

They should also identify and implement software products for multiple stakeholders at all levels of the force that meet functional requirements and maximise the effectiveness of these analytical tools by monitoring and improving standards and techniques, ensuring they drive business across the force with partners.
