CCTV Investigator (FTC/Secondment)

FTC/Secondment from 01/10/2025 – 31/03/2026 

An exciting opportunity to support some of the most demanding, complex and challenging investigations dealt with by Thames Valley Police. CCTV investigation involves the scoping, downloading, processing, analysing and compiling of CCTV so that it supports murder investigations. 

The successful candidate will view seized articles including CCTV / DVD, videos and any other audio or visual imagery to prepare detailed and comprehensive viewing logs whilst maintaining accurate files and logs for each case and provide statements where required in relation to current and historical investigations. 

You will liaise and work with other agencies to support Major Crime investigations including the Highways Authority, local councils, public transport and private companies to develop professional relationships. You will work in collaboration with FAVU to produce final evidential CCTV compilations for court presentation. 

Capability to travel across the Force is required in order to undertake assignments in a timely manner and work flexibly.  Due to unsocial hours and personal safety for lone working public transport may not be suitable. For this reason, a full driving licence is considered essential for this role.
