The Police Cadet programme is now open for applications!
This is your chance to challenge yourself, build confidence and develop new skills through a unique, structured programme designed to strengthen the bond between young people and the police.
As a Police Cadet, you’ll take part in hands‑on community work for at least 3 hours a week, gaining experience you won’t find anywhere else. You’ll also get the opportunity to visit specialist police departments, including the Dog Unit, Firearms Unit, Mounted Branch, Roads Policing Unit and Scenes of Crime — offering you a rare insight into how modern policing really works.
There are no entry requirements. All we ask is that you bring enthusiasm, willingness to learn and a genuine interest in helping others. Even if you’ve had previous contact with the police, you are still welcome to join — this programme is open to everyone who wants to make a positive impact.
