Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct risk assessments on all vulnerability reports and quality assure the recorded information to ensure that compliance thresholds are met.
- Provide feedback to professionals from divisions and other departments in relation to compliance issues.
- Ensure that any and all immediate safeguarding has been addressed and take appropriate action when necessary.
- To interrogate police and partner agencies databases and research relevant information to assist in the identification and management of risk and the protection of children and vulnerable persons.
- Using Children’s Social Care’s Continuum of Need to assess researched information about the likelihood of the referred person suffering significant harm, ensuring sound decision making in order to safeguard and promote the welfare of children and vulnerable people.
- Engage in professional discussions with partner agencies in order to gather further information to assist with decision making

Skills and Experience:
- Experience of working in partnership with other departments and agencies
- Experience of producing accurate written reports, demonstrating a high level of attention to detail
- Experience of working with minimal supervision, organising and prioritising own workload
- Experience of working effectively as part of a team
- Experience of communicating across a wide spectrum of people both individuals and groups
Vetting and Medical:
Please be aware, as a condition of your appointment you must undergo and pass Recruitment Vetting (RV). Please be aware there is a minimum 3 year UK residency requirement for Recruitment vetting and you must be 18 years old at the point of applying. Successful applicants will also be subject to a medical assessment.
The successful candidate will be required to work in accordance with the attached rota.
