- S26-271 Administrative Support (LC4 - LC5)

Lancashire Constabulary is looking for a highly organised and proactive administrator to provide professional and efficient support to the Head of Department, Divisional Commander and Senior Management Team.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Providing secretarial and administrative support by undertaking dictation, word processing, copying and circulation of documents.
  • Support the Senior Management Team with the provision of timely, relevant and accurate management information relating to performance and resource management.
  • Managing diary time and co-ordinating the diaries of the Departmental Senior Management Team.
  • Deal with telephone and personal enquiries, using tact and diplomacy and responding to queries wherever possible.
  • To carry out any other duties which are consistent with the nature, responsibilities and grading of the post.

Skills and Experience: 

  • Experience of providing a secretarial/PA service to manager(s).
  • Experience of composing letters and memos and responding to routine correspondence and demonstrate a high level of attention to detail.
  • Experience of working to deadlines and tight timescales, within a busy environment. 
  • Experience of working with minimal supervision, organising and prioritising own workload.

Vetting and Medical:

Please be aware, as a condition of your appointment you must undergo and pass Recruitment Vetting (RV). Please be aware there is a minimum 3 year UK residency requirement for Recruitment vetting and you must be 18 years old at the point of applying. Successful applicants will also be subject to a medical assessment.

Please note, candidates successful at shortlisting may be required to undertake an assessment as part of the interview process. This will consist of a typing test.
