- S26-247 Restorative Justice and Out of Court Resolutions (OOCR) Manager (LC9)

Applications are invited for the post of Restorative Justice and Out of Court Resolutions (OOCR) Manager within Criminal Justice Services , Restorative Justice based at Hutton Headquarters. 

Key Responsibilities of the role: 

  • The purpose of the role is to lead, manage and motivate a team of Restorative Justice staff with responsibility for coordinating and delivering Restorative Justice (RJ) and Out of Court Resolution (OOCR) diversions. 
  • To oversee the delivery of Restorative Justice outcomes, including conferences across the spectrum of offending, making best use of resources whilst adhering to corporate and national policy.  
  • To provide overall day to day management of the RJ & OOCR Co-ordinators and RJ Admin, managing the welfare needs of individuals.
  • To engage with partner criminal justice agencies others to extend the use of Restorative Justice.
  • To oversee delivery of Out of Court diversionary inputs to offenders in line with National Framework and Codes of Practice.
  • To review, implement and manage processes, oversee/manage serious and complex cases and provide specialist advice. You will support and offer guidance to staff, officers, departments and other forces and agencies in relation to best practice, ensuring that a victim-focused approach is maintained at all times.

Role requirements: 

  • 3 day (Level 2) Restorative Justice training must have been completed to apply 
  • Full UK Manual driving licence

Vetting and Medical:

Please be aware, as a condition of your appointment you must undergo and pass Recruitment Vetting (RV). Please be aware there is a minimum 3 year UK residency requirement for Recruitment vetting and you must be 18 years old at the point of applying. Successful applicants will also be subject to a medical assessment.

Please note, candidates successful at shortlisting will be required to undertake an assessment as part of the interview process.
