Lancashire Constabulary is looking for a Multi Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) - Safeguarding Support Officer to join our team at Lancashire House, Accrington.
As a MASH Safeguarding Support Officer, you will be responsible for risk assessing Vulnerable Person Reports to ensure that the quality is of a good standard in order to share with appropriate partner agencies in MASH. You will liaise with partner agencies in order to provide the right support to keep children and vulnerable people safe, working towards the MASH purpose.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct risk assessments on all vulnerability reports and quality assure the recorded information to ensure that compliance thresholds are met.
- Provide feedback to professionals from divisions and other departments in relation to compliance issues.
- Ensure that any and all immediate safeguarding has been addressed and take appropriate action when necessary.
- To interrogate police and partner agencies databases and research relevant information to assist in the identification and management of risk and the protection of children and vulnerable persons.
- To engage in professional discussions with partner agencies in order to gather further information to assist with decision making

Skills and Experience:
- Experience of working in partnership with other departments and agencies
- Experience of interrogating, inputting, updating and maintaining computerised recording systems (eg PNC/Connect)
- Hold a Full valid UK Manual Driving License and be willing to undertake and pass the Constabulary Basic Driver Assessment prior to driving a Constabulary vehicle and drive on Constabulary business where required.
Vetting and Medical:
Please be aware, as a condition of your appointment you must undergo and pass Recruitment Vetting (RV). Please be aware there is a minimum 3 year UK residency requirement for Recruitment vetting and you must be 18 years old at the point of applying. Successful applicants will also be subject to a medical assessment.
The successful candidate will be required to work in accordance with the attached rota.
