- S26-173 Catering Assistant (LC3)

Lancashire Constabulary is looking for a Catering Assistant to join our team. 

The purpose of this role is to support the Kitchen Team Leader in delivering the catering function within the specific catering facility by assisting in the preparation of food, servicing of meals with agreed methods and portion control, stock taking including checking and receipting of deliveries, appropriate labelling and storage of stock. You will be required to maintain the highest levels of cleanliness and hygiene, ensuring the cleaning schedule and daily checks are completed as and when required within the function.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • To assist in the preparation of food, servicing of meals with agreed methods and portion control.
  • Assist in stock taking including checking and receipting of deliveries, appropriate labelling and storage of stock.
  • To ensure that there are sufficient hot and cold food provisions during the service times.
  • Take an active role in promoting the catering facilities including undertaking promotional events.

Requirements:

  • Food Hygiene and Safety qualification (level 2)
  • Full UK manual driving licence

Vetting and Medical:

Please be aware, as a condition of your appointment you must undergo and pass Recruitment Vetting (RV). Please be aware there is a minimum 3 year UK residency requirement for Recruitment vetting and you must be 18 years old at the point of applying. Successful applicants will also be subject to a medical assessment.

The successful candidate will be required to work in accordance with the attached rota.
