Lancashire Constabulary is looking for two Force Resourcing Planners to join our Specialist Operations Force Resourcing Team, based at Hutton Headquarters. There are two full time posts available.
A Force Resourcing planner will work within a diverse and demanding role, planning duties and resourcing to operating levels across different departments. The nature of the demand can change daily and would be dependent on operations, events and/ or a change in resource requirements.
The Force Resource Unit is split up into different roles dealing with Response and local Neighbourhood Policing, Training, Flexible working, Operations and Events, Investigation and HQ departments.
Key Responsibilities:
- To input all rotas onto the Duty Management System (DMS) for Constabulary disciplines and departments ensuring compliance with WTD.
- To assist in the management of resources via DMS on a regular basis in conjunction with a consideration of the needs of the Geographic areas and other sections/departments. In doing so ensure that Normal Operating levels are maintained in line with local policy.
- To input court warnings, identify and resolving any shortfalls.
- To assist planning in the mandatory and refresher training in conjunction with the Training Department. Ensuring compliance with normal operating levels, identifying and addressing any shortfalls

Skills and Experience:
- Some knowledge of work force management and duty planning would be beneficial.
- Experience of working in an administrative/clerical role within a busy office environment dealing with confidential information
- Experience of working to deadlines and tight timescales within a busy environment
Vetting and Medical:
Please be aware, as a condition of your appointment you must undergo and pass Recruitment Vetting (RV). Please be aware there is a minimum 3 year UK residency requirement for Recruitment vetting and you must be 18 years old at the point of applying. Successful applicants will also be subject to a medical assessment.
