- S26-145 Estates Building Manager (LC10-11)

Lancashire Constabulary is looking for an Estates Building Manager to join our team. 

The purpose of this role is to provide leadership, direction and development for the Estates function within the Constabulary.  While supporting its strategic aims and objectives, ensuring service delivery is fit for operational purposes, aligned to customer needs and provided in a cost effective and efficient way. You will also be responsible for leading positive cultural change across the workforce and ensuring that the Standards of Professional behaviours are embedded.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To lead the Estates service and function, setting the strategic direction and providing strong, visible, supportive and directive leadership for the function and its people.
  • Develop and deliver strategies and policies for the Estates function in relation to building maintenance and compliance, maximising potential to meet the needs of the Constabulary and its customers
  • Ensure departmental resilience by providing cover for other departmental managers and making business decisions in their absence as agreed by the Head of Department / Estates Operations Manager
  • Provide professional support, guidance and advice and prepare reports for the Head of Estates and Facilities Management the OPCC, Divisional Commanders, other Heads of Profession, senior managers and other service users on matters included within your area of responsibility

Skills and Experience: 

  • Degree in Business or Facilities Management or equivalent qualification
  • Qualification in relevant Health & Safety area e.g. NEBOSH or IOSH 
  • Membership of a recognised professional body e.g. RICS, CIOB or BIFM
  • Evidence of Continuing Professional Development

Vetting and Medical:

Please be aware, as a condition of your appointment you must undergo and pass Recruitment Vetting (RV). Please be aware there is a minimum 3 year UK residency requirement for Recruitment vetting and you must be 18 years old at the point of applying. Successful applicants will also be subject to a medical assessment.
