- S26-135 SRU Prosecution Facilitation Officer (LC5-6)

Lancashire Constabulary is looking for an SRU Prosecution Facilitation Officer to join our team. 

The role of Prosecution Facilitation Officer is a brand-new role that has been created to support a team of Court Presentation Officers. The role is varied and involves partnership working with key stakeholder partners, namely Crown Prosecution Service and HM Courts and Tribunals. This is a fast-paced position where organisation will be key. You will be required to manage competing priorities and manage your time effectively. You will be engaging with the Defence community and Defendants directly to help case manage to facilitate swift justice. You will become a point of contact with the Safer Roads Unit for queries with regards to court matters. You will also need to liaise with officers to ensure cases are evidentially sound, in addition to preparing cases for trial. 

You will have ownership of a busy inbox, delegating work to the relevant colleague, eventually managing a case load, and supporting the team with administration of their cases at court.

The Safer Roads Unit is a varied department with colleagues working in operational roles right through to diversionary course delivery, covering case progression, collision management, court prosecution, points of contact for members of the public, investigations, public concerns for road safety, amongst other partnership working. You will have an opportunity to familiarise yourself with the working of all the teams within the department.

Skills and Experience:

  • ILEX Specialist Course in Disclosure or willingness to undertake within two years of appointment.

Vetting and Medical:

Please be aware, as a condition of your appointment you must undergo and pass Recruitment Vetting (RV). Please be aware there is a minimum 3 year UK residency requirement for Recruitment vetting and you must be 18 years old at the point of applying. Successful applicants will also be subject to a medical assessment.
