- S26-075 Fleet Support Assistant (LC5-6)

Lancashire Constabulary is looking for a Fleet Support Assistant to join our team. 

In this role you will be part of the Fleet Services support function undertaking administration support including using and updating of the Fleet Management System, Telematics and Dash Cam Platforms. You will provide administrative support for the Fleet Services externally sourced contracts including but not limited to fleet motor policy, collision damage repairs, third party loss providers, independent assessors, fuel purchases, telemetry, vehicle collection/delivery, vehicle auction and vehicle salvage. Ensuring that appropriate systems are updated in real time to enable fleet services to deliver the required service level to the Constabulary. The post holder will work as part of a high performing team to deliver a best-in-class fleet service and end user experience.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • The post holder will provide specialist fleet and general administrative support to the department and its management team.
  • To form part of an efficient administration team ensuring all records within the Fleet Management System are inputted accurately and are comprehensive, relevant, and compliant with the requirements of the Road Traffic Act 1988, Health and Safety at Work Act and Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations.
  • To carry out the entire cycle of vehicle related administration within the department, ensuring all documentation in relation to our vehicle fleet and driver licencing is always compliant and entered onto the relevant systems in a timely manner.
  • Ensure all fleet data is up to date and assist the Senior Leadership Team to provide reporting dashboards and power point presentation packs including daily fleet status reports.

Skills and Experience: 

  • N/SVQ Level 3 Diploma, or above, in Customer Service or an equivalent qualification or willing to work towards and complete within 24 months.
  • Association of Fleet Professionals – Fleet Vehicle Management – Strategic Level IMI qualification at Pass or above or willing to work towards and complete within 24 months.

Vetting and Medical:

Please be aware, as a condition of your appointment you must undergo and pass Management Vetting (MV). Please be aware there is a minimum 5 year UK residency required for Management Vetting and you must be 18 years old at the point of applying. Successful applicants will also be subject to a medical assessment.
