Applications are invited for the post of SOCU Constable within the HQ Crime Division, Serious Organised Crime Unit based at Hutton Headquarters.
Key Responsibilities:
- To participate in intelligence led operations directed at disrupting, arresting and convicting level 2 offenders in partnership with other law enforcement agencies and departments.
- To prepare files of evidence to the highest standards and in liaison with CPS collate and present evidence in the form of a prosecution case. Interviewing of witnesses and victims to obtain evidence.
- To organise and prepare risk assessments and operational orders in line with current policies.
- Possess an understanding of all relevant legislation particularly the Regulation of Investigatory Powers Act 2000, The Proceeds of Crime Act, Human Rights legislation, Criminal Procedures Investigations Act 1996
- To establish and maintain productive working relationships, with Divisional colleagues, and partner Law Enforcement Agencies, maximising the use of Regional covert assets.
- To carry out any other duties which are consistent with the nature, flexibility, responsibilities of a constable within Lancashire Constabulary.

Skills and Experience:
- To be PIP2 accredited or be willing to work towards PIP 2 accreditation
Vetting:
Successful applicants will be required to pass Management Vetting and Security Clearance prior to commencing their role.
**Please be aware there is a minimum 5 year UK residency required for Management Vetting.
