Trainer - Computer & Specialist Training Unit (Grade F) (People Branch) (Ref: 249)

People Branch is responsible for planning, organising and delivering training and development  for all personnel across GMP. The branch delivers a comprehensive programme of training options and prides itself on the quality of service it delivers, continually striving to improve and innovate and respond to organisational needs.

Recognised as a centre of excellence, GMP trainers deliver high quality training to both police officers and police staff.

You will be responsible for the design, development, and delivery of a range of computer training courses, providing classroom‑based instruction on police systems and digital tools. Supporting learners from all stages of their career from new starters to experienced staff. You will create an inclusive, safe learning environment where delegates feel confident and are encouraged to engage in learning.

You do not need to be a qualified trainer to apply. What matters most is your ability to connect with people and support their learning. You will be an excellent communicator, able to explain information clearly and confidently to individuals with varying levels of ability and experience. You will be approachable, patient and adaptable in a classroom setting.

You will also be a strong team player, able to work collaboratively with colleagues on training delivery, share ideas, and identify opportunities to enhance training methods. At the same time, you will have the confidence to work independently when required.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a supportive and innovative training team, where you can play a key role in developing others, expanding your own skills and contributing to the continued success of GMP.
