The Office of Police, Fire and Crime Commissioner (OPFCC) is looking for talented and experienced Early Intervention and Prevention Practitioners to join the team and work within our Domestic Abuse project.
You will have the ability to quickly establish positive relationships with diverse groups of people, respond flexibly to their needs and to the priorities of the Service. You will need to be a good communicator and advocate of young people. You will be working holistically with families and able to work independently. You will be experienced in safeguarding children and young people.
You will be part of a team delivering across the county, responding to risk and need of families who have come to Police attention for issues around family conflict and domestic abuse.
You will have experience of assessing vulnerability and exploitation. Have experience of risk management and can demonstrate independent problem-solving skills.
You will be joining an established team of Early Intervention Practitioners who have extensive experience of holding a case load with a variety of presenting issues. You will have proven experience of working in a range of settings and have a can-do attitude and a passion for initiating positive outcomes for people.
You will have experience of working with and alongside partner agencies to safeguard children and young people.
You may hold an independent Domestic Abuse Adviser (IDVA) qualification, if not, there is opportunity to gain this alongside the Children’s Domestic Abuse Advocate (CDAA) qualification.
OPFCC staff are based at Darby House, Wellingborough but can work from Police and partner sites across the county. This post is fixed term contract for 2 years.
This is a politically restricted post and requires successful completion of Police vetting.
