The role will focus mainly on assessment of learners completing their Level 4 & 5 Certificates in Leadership and Management for Police Sergeants and Inspectors as part of the National Police Promotion Framework.
Police experience at these ranks is not essential, but experience of Leadership and Management at equivalent levels is required, please provide details in your application.
An assessor qualification is not essential, but experience of assessment is required and you will need to work towards your qualification as soon as possible.

As this is a temporary position you will not be required to provide evidence for all the shown on the job description.
The ones you do need to provide evidence for are as follows:
- Assessor Qualification (CAVA level 3 or equivalent) with examples of current knowledge of assessment processes and methods.
- Knowledge of Internal Quality Assurance (IQA) processes including standardisation. A commitment to quality assurance standards across teaching, training and assessment. Ambition to complete an Internal Quality Assurance qualification if not already held.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Must be able to work effectively as a team member and help to build relationships within that team. Individually, must be able to demonstrate sound organisational and planning skills. With the ability to manage own time and complete tasks effectively to a high standard.
- Leadership & Management qualification or experience.
- Internal Quality Assurance (IQA) Qualification or experience.
- Higher Education qualification (Level 5, 6, 7 or 8) to support a requirement to Research, Evaluate and Report to an executive level.
