Intelligence Processing & Liaison Officer

About the Role

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented to join our Force Intelligence Bureau (FIB) as an Intelligence Processing & Liaison Officer. In this role, you will act as a key link between intelligence units, neighbourhood policing teams, crime and operations support, as well as external forces and partner agencies. You will play a vital role in supporting intelligence development and enabling informed decision-making on both strategic and tactical issues.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Receiving, evaluating, and processing intelligence, ensuring it is appropriately sanitised and disseminated
  • Conducting research into crime, disorder, individuals, and property using available intelligence resources
  • Liaising with internal teams, police officers, and external agencies to support intelligence sharing
  • Maintaining and updating intelligence systems and databases to ensure accuracy and effectiveness
  • Producing and delivering intelligence briefings, bulletins, and reports both verbally and electronically
  • Providing general administrative support and maintaining effective data management practices
  • Undertaking mandatory and role-specific training to support ongoing development
